A "Day of Concerts and Clinics" featured outstanding "Hollywood" musicians and local university groups playing concerts and demonstrating instrumental techniques. Students and teachers from surrounding Southern California schools were in attendance.

In the evening, there was a concert featuring the "Bill Tole Big Band" and the Montebello High School Concert Band and award winning Jazz Ensemble.
